Do you have any good Gibby Haynes stories?
well, i always found him to be a very bright, funny person. he was always good to me. one time when i was traveling with those guys, the band i was in bad livers was opening up a tour, and we were broke and would just sit in the dressing room all day and play. and lots of times we would play old bluegrass songs and country songs. and we used to play that old song shackles and chains. and gibby asked me, "what was that song you were playing about sleeping with jack lalane?" while i'm sleeping in shackles and chains became while i'm sleeping with jack lalane.
I read an article you wrote (featured in Indie on the Move) and you mentioned that you discovered your true value, and said to ask if I wanted to know what that is. What is your true value?Danny Barnes responded on 04/15/2016 Next question
I used to play at the Bitterend in Portland. Played there many times before you and always enjoyed your music. I just listened to your cd last night, for the first time in many years. Today I saw this Blog post. Wow, very honest, true and helpful! Thank you, your timing was impeccable.
