I have found banjo to be a powerful tool in obtaining and maintaining wellbeing, defined either in spiritual or psychological terms. Does the practice differ or the understanding of mastery differ in this pursuit for the layman compared to the path for the aspiring professional entertainer?
well, i don't know because i only...can sort of speak from my thing, which was a lifelong effort to master the banjo. so i'm not sure how .....to respond. i can guess, but that isn't any help. maybe if someone is trying to master something, the idea of being a professional or whatever, so to speak, has no bearing?
I'm trying to make music a career... I'm struggling to get my music to larger audiences. Any advice and Any fatal mistakes you could think of that alot of newbies in the music industry make?Danny Barnes responded on 03/15/2017 Next question
Hi again Danny ( thank you for your continuing patience).
I was wondering if you have any theories to help playing and singing solo with banjo. The great players seem to be able to fade out to playing nothing with us filling in the gaps- their knowledge of the song is so concrete.
Also it's a difficult instrument to sing to- all high and generally single notes not chords.
Sorry I'm on a night train in london and a bit tipsy. You should come to the UK if you can.
