Hi again Danny ( thank you for your continuing patience).
I was wondering if you have any theories to help playing and singing solo with banjo. The great players seem to be able to fade out to playing nothing with us filling in the gaps- their knowledge of the song is so concrete.
Also it's a difficult instrument to sing to- all high and generally single notes not chords.
Sorry I'm on a night train in london and a bit tipsy. You should come to the UK if you can.
it is a bit of a trick. but here is a formula. low is high high is low everybody has to play the drums. in other words. just play. in an era of folks being quite overwhelmed, minimalism is always a good response from art.
I have found banjo to be a powerful tool in obtaining and maintaining wellbeing, defined either in spiritual or psychological terms. Does the practice differ or the understanding of mastery differ in this pursuit for the layman compared to the path for the aspiring professional entertainer?Danny Barnes responded on 04/07/2017 Next question
